SEO: How to use it?

Getting a website rank to be proud of and that can bring in a lot of website traffic will be hard if you do not have good website content that is fresh, updated and regularly posted.

It is all fine and good owning a website and hoping that you get some visits to it through links that you have left on forums, blogs, social networking websites, etc; but in fact it is information that people are looking for.

Information is the KEY to the Internet and that is why search engines work based on queries that the visitors search for everday.

In order to achieve better rankings you are required to write and post unique and informational content on your website.

This will allow you to keep your websites visitors busy reading the information that is on the website and then intrigues them to stay about a little longer in order to see what else your website has to offer.

Related content about your website and its subjects is the best place to start if you are looking for increasing your website ranking and traffic.

Take a look using the search engines to see what content comes up when you do a search for your keywords or phrases that you would like to rank better for and then adapt (DO NOT STEAL) some of these ideas and write content based around them that includes the chosen keyword or phrase within the actual article or informational document.

Please make sure that you do not just spam the keyword or phrase in though. This needs to be done so that the content that you are writing is human readable, makes sense and that it is still just as interesting as it should be without all the keywords within it.

I believe that a keyword to content ratio should apply and should be between 2% and 5% keyword ratio.

This means that a maximum 5% of keywords should be used within the content and it is advised that you have a few of these keywords towards the top of the article or information piece of content becasue the search engines will pick those up easier.

Also, with this content do not just throw your website link in at every chance you get. The best place to have a link would be in some kind of resource box where you can explain more about the inspiration behind the article.
